If you are asking how long SHEIN shipping takes, how fast delivery really is or how much you need to spend for free shipping, the honest answer is that SHEIN gives you a window rather than a promise, and the window you see depends on the item, the shipping method and where you live. Below is everything SHEIN’s own US page says about timing, fees, free shipping, tracking and late packages, plus the parts it does not say.
Based on the SHEIN US Shipping Information page, the Refund page, the Terms of Use (updated Sep 3, 2026) and the On-Time Delivery Service terms, all read on Oct 3, 2026. The figures in the delivery table are what SHEIN displayed that day and can change. SHEIN’s page does not publish a fixed processing time or name the carriers it uses, so I have not given either.
How long does SHEIN shipping take?
SHEIN lists two shipping methods for US addresses. On October 3, 2026 the Shipping Information page showed this:
| Method | Estimated delivery window shown | Share delivered on time | Fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Shipping | 10/06/2026 – 10/13/2026 | 77.1% within 7 business days | $3.99 below $29; free over $29 |
| Express Shipping | 10/05/2026 – 10/09/2026 | 79.23% within 6 business days | $12.90 below $139; $7.90 over $139 |
Two things to notice. First, the dates are a window, not a delivery date, and they move every day because they count forward from today. Second, the percentages are SHEIN’s own historical figures. They tell you that roughly three in four standard orders and four in five express orders arrived within that many business days, which also means a meaningful minority took longer.

Why does SHEIN not give a fixed number of days?
Because the estimate is built from past deliveries. SHEIN says the window is “based on historical data, including information about when most orders were delivered,” and that in most cases the package should arrive within it. The actual date can shift because of:
- Flight arrangements
- Weather conditions
- Processing delays
- Carrier delays
- Other unexpected factors
SHEIN adds four situations where you should expect a longer wait:
- Preorder or customized items in the order
- Peak periods and sales campaigns
- Rural areas
- SHEIN Marketplace orders, which may be processed or shipped by a third-party seller instead of SHEIN
Processing time vs transit time: what SHEIN actually says
People often ask for two numbers, how long SHEIN takes to prepare an order (processing) and how long the parcel then spends in transit. SHEIN’s US page does not split them. It shows one delivery window per method and lists “processing delays” and “carrier delays” as separate things that can push you past it. If you read a blog that says processing takes exactly X days, it is not coming from this page.
What the page does give you is the “Local” label. Items marked Local ship from a US warehouse. If a Local item is not available there, it ships from an international warehouse instead, which may take longer. So two items in the same cart can end up traveling very differently, and a Local badge is the closest thing to a speed signal on the product page.
Standard vs express shipping: which one should you pick?
Express is shown with a shorter window (10/05 – 10/09 versus 10/06 – 10/13 on the day I checked) and a shorter benchmark (6 business days versus 7). The gap is small. What you mainly pay for is a tighter, slightly earlier window.
| Standard | Express | |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery benchmark | 77.1% within 7 business days | 79.23% within 6 business days |
| Fee | $3.99 below $29, free over $29 | $12.90 below $139, $7.90 over $139 |
| Free option | Yes (see thresholds below) | No, a fee always applies |
| Best when | You can wait and your cart clears the threshold | You need a tighter window and accept the fee |
Express never becomes free on this page; the best you get is the reduced $7.90 over $139. For most orders, standard with a free-shipping cart is the better deal, and the benchmark difference does not justify $7.90 or $12.90 unless the date matters.
How much do you need to spend for free shipping on SHEIN?
These are the rules on the page for free standard shipping:
| When | Free standard shipping on orders |
|---|---|
| Most days | Over $29.00 |
| Sundays and Thursdays | Over $15.00 |
| Your very first order | Over $15.00 |
| Below the threshold | $3.99 standard fee |
- Only items shipped directly by SHEIN count. Marketplace items from third-party sellers may have different shipping thresholds.
- The page does not say which time zone decides “Sunday” or “Thursday.” If you are ordering close to midnight, the shipping line at checkout is the one that counts.
- It says “over,” so plan to clear the number rather than land on it.
How do you track a SHEIN order?
SHEIN tells you to use the tracking information on your order for the most accurate estimated delivery date, and to keep checking it so you are notified of any delays. The page does not name the carriers SHEIN uses, so the tracking page on your order is the source of truth for which one has your parcel and where it is.
- Open your order in your SHEIN account (website or app) and go to its tracking information.
- Note the estimated date shown there. SHEIN calls it the most accurate one.
- Check back after delays. Weather, flights and carrier problems show up in the tracking events before the date changes.
- If the tracking shows a carrier tracking number, you can also paste it into that carrier’s site or into our package tracker.
I could not verify the exact button names in the app (they change), so look for the tracking or order details area on the order itself.

What if your SHEIN package is late?
Wait for the end of the delivery window first; that window is what SHEIN commits to showing. After that, SHEIN’s guidance has three parts.
- Look at the tracking page for a delay notice or a new estimate.
- Contact customer service within 45 days of the payment date if the package has not arrived within the estimated time.
- Ask about the On-Time Delivery Service if you ticked it at checkout (see the next section).
I could not verify SHEIN’s support channels, hours or response times from the page, so I have not listed them. Use the Customer Service option in your SHEIN account.
Tracking says delivered but it is not there
SHEIN says to contact it within 45 days of the delivery date shown on your tracking page. The same 45-day rule applies if the order has missing or incorrect items. Look around the delivery address, ask neighbors and check whether a household member took it in, then open a request.
SHEIN’s On-Time Delivery Service: 500 points if it is late
The Shipping Information page mentions a free On-Time Delivery Service that entitles you to 500 SHEIN points if your order does not arrive by the estimated date. The terms add the fine print:
- You must check the “On-Time Delivery” box at checkout, enter a valid delivery address and use an accepted payment method.
- Points are issued within 2 business days after the missed estimated delivery date and expire 30 days after issuance.
- Each point is worth $0.01, so 500 points are worth $5. They can cover up to 50% of an order’s price, excluding taxes, shipping fees and insurance costs.
- Each order qualifies once.
- Exclusions include force majeure (natural disasters, government actions, pandemics), address or operational problems such as incomplete addresses, unsuccessful delivery attempts, and refunded orders or suspended accounts.
It is a small consolation, not compensation for a lost parcel. I could not confirm that the box appears on every order, so look for it at checkout.
Do you get points for confirming delivery?
Yes. Click Confirm Delivery within 6 months of the shipment date to claim the points. After that the button turns gray and you can no longer earn points for that order. Only tap it once the parcel is actually in your hands.
Will you get the shipping fee back if you return or cancel?
Usually not. SHEIN’s Refund page states: “The original shipping fee is non-refundable.” That is why the $3.99 or express fee is worth thinking about before you place a small order you may return. See the SHEIN return policy guide for return fees and timing, and our refund timing guide for how long banks take.
Checklist to get your SHEIN order faster
- Read the delivery window at checkout for your actual address.
- Prefer items with the Local label when speed matters.

FAQ
How long does SHEIN take to ship to the US?
SHEIN shows an estimated window per method rather than a fixed number. On Oct 3, 2026 the page said 77.1% of Standard orders were delivered within 7 business days and 79.23% of Express orders within 6 business days. Your own window appears at checkout.
How much do I need for free shipping on SHEIN?
Free standard shipping applies to orders over $29 on most days, and over $15 on Sundays, Thursdays and your very first order. Only items shipped directly by SHEIN count; Marketplace items may have different thresholds.
How much is SHEIN shipping?
Standard is $3.99 when your order is under $29 and free above it. Express is $12.90 for orders under $139 and $7.90 for orders over $139.
Is SHEIN express shipping worth it?
The page shows a slightly shorter benchmark (6 business days versus 7) and an earlier window. Express always carries a fee, so it mainly makes sense when you need a tighter date.
What does “Local” mean on SHEIN?
Local items ship from a US warehouse. If a Local item is unavailable there, it ships from an international warehouse and may take longer.
What if my SHEIN package has not arrived?
Contact SHEIN customer service within 45 days of the payment date. If tracking says delivered but you do not have it, contact SHEIN within 45 days of the delivery date shown on the tracking page.
Does SHEIN refund the shipping fee?
No. SHEIN’s Refund page says the original shipping fee is non-refundable.
Can I get compensation if SHEIN is late?
If you opted in at checkout, SHEIN’s On-Time Delivery Service gives 500 points ($5 value) when an order misses the estimated date. Points are issued within 2 business days of the missed date and expire after 30 days.
