Seller fee: 2.99% × $200 = $5.98, leaving $194.02. Instant transfer: 1.75% × $194.02 = $3.40. You get $190.62 in your bank. With a standard transfer you’d keep the $194.02.

Tip If you’re not in a hurry, the standard transfer is free. Paying friends from your Venmo balance, bank or debit card has no fee; the 3% applies only when you send using a credit card.
